The headlines read “Epstein Dead of apparent suicide.” One day after authorities released 2,000 pages of documents revealing the dastardly actions of Jeffrey Epstein and naming names of some of the most prominent people in politics and business…Epstein was found dead Saturday morning in his jail cell.
He was transported out of the Manhattan prison at 6:30 a.m., but was dead on arrival.
As we previously wrote, in July he was found with marks on his neck from an apparent suicide attempt. Questions were raised about whether or not it was assault or attempted suicide, but no one was ‘fessing up to an assault. But now he is officially dead. And authorities are calling it an “apparent suicide.”
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The initial call to the jail was cardiac arrest. There was no immediate confirmation on how he died, but multiple reports said Epstein died by suicide.
Epstein’s attorney Martin Weinberg told Fox News on Saturday that he could not “confirm the rumor” that his client had killed himself.
The death comes two weeks after the 66-year-old was placed on suicide watch after he was found nearly unconscious in his cell with injuries to his neck.
Convenient.
Just yesterday, in documents released in a lawsuit against Epstein’s recruiter, Ghislaine Maxwell, formerly underaged victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre claimed that Epstein had kept her as a sex slave and used her to ‘service’ high powered, wealthy men. Some of those names were given as former Maine Sen. George Mitchell, ex-New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Prince Andrew, Duke of York, money manager Glenn Dubin and MIT professor Marvin Minksy. They all denied that they knew anything about it.
Police said before that other victims had come forward after Epstein’s arrest. He was facing 45 years in prison, and he was already 66.
Will prosecuting any of those ‘high powered’ people be possible now that Epstein is dead? Though he never released the names himself, most of the underaged girls knew who they were. With his 77 million dollar Manhattan mansion full of photos of underage girls and his female ‘recruiter’ now under the lawsuit, there is still hope for taking out this disgusting pedophile ring.
But don’t hold your breath. Denials end up in the he said, she said realm, especially when the underlying case cannot proceed. There is still that “Clinton Body Count” conspiracy theory of course. “Epstein Dead” should make that thing reverberate.
