On Thursday, the popular Drudge Report said that CNN, known here as the “Clinton News Network,” is actively pursuing Fox News host Megyn Kelly.  Moreover, Drudge said, Kelly just might say yes…

According to Drudge:

CNN President Jeff Zucker is actively perusing FOX star Megyn Kelly to anchor 8 or 9 PM on his network, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. And Kelly might just say, YES!

“He is moving the Himalayan mountains to get her,” a top insider explains. “But they are tripped up on money. He simply can’t pay her the $20 million a year FOX has on the table.”

Kelly’s contract is up in July 2017.

As we reported in October, Kelly wants more than $20 million from Fox.

According to the Wall Street Journal:

Fox News star Megyn Kelly has changed agents and publicity teams since last year. Now the question is if she will change TV networks.

Host of “The Kelly File,” one of the cable-news channel’s most popular shows, Ms. Kelly is in active talks over her contract, which expires next July. Her profile has been rising during the presidential election cycle, in part thanks to a dust-up with Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Keeping Ms. Kelly is a priority for senior management, including Rupert Murdoch, chief executive of Fox News and co-executive chairman of its parent company, 21st Century Fox.

Drudge added:

For Kelly, a move to Columbus Circle would represent a fresh break from a turbulent 18 months at FOXNEWS. And the chance to go directly against arch-nemesis Bill O’Reilly will be hard to resist.

Meanwhile, the highs and lows of the Trump and Roger Ailes dramas have taken a toll.

The anchor is “despised” by fellow on-air talent. And FOX insiders describe how it’s gotten only worse since the release of her book, which is expected to end the holidays under 500,000 total copies sold. [Megyn refused to promote her book on both O’Reilly and Hannity, foreshadowing a move.]

Drudge also posted a poll to gauge the reaction from its readers, but we’d like to know how you feel about such a move.  Where do you think Kelly would fit best, Fox or CNN?
