‘Don’t mess with me’: Pelosi lashes out at reporter who asks if she hates Trump — Video

‘On Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lost her cool when a reporter asked if she is pursuing impeachment out of hatred for President Trump.

“Do you hate the president?” Sinclair TV reporter James Rosen asked.

“I don’t hate anybody,” she said angrily, pointing her finger at Rosen. “Not anybody in the world. Do not accuse me–”

“I did not accuse you, I asked a question,” Rosen said. “Rep. Collins suggested yesterday that the Democrats are doing this simply because they don’t like the guy, I think it is an important point.”

“I think the president is a coward when it comes to helping our kids, who are afraid of gun violence,” the California Democrat said, returning to the podium. “I think he is cruel when he doesn’t deal with helping our DREAMers, of whom we are very proud. I think he is in denial about the Constitution — about the climate crisis.”

“However, that’s about the election,” she continued. “Take it up in the election. This [impeachment] is about the Constitution of the United States and the facts that lead to the president’s violation of his oath of office. And as a Catholic, I resent your using the word hate in a sentence that addresses me. I don’t hate anyone… I pray for the president all the time. So, don’t mess with me when it comes to words like that.”

It would seem that Rosen hit a nerve with his question, otherwise Pelosi would not have been so defensive.  As for hating Trump, Pelosi’s own actions speak louder than anything she could ever say.

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy also has a hard time believing her:

I’ll take them at their word what Congresswoman Tlaib said their very first day in Congress [“Impeach the Motherf*cker”] of what she referred to the president, which I wouldn’t think anyone would want it referred to them, that she was going to impeach them.

Or when Adam Schiff lied to the American public, only to get to the point where they are today.

Or when he said he was going to “send him back to the golden throne.”

I’ll take the Speaker at her word, but if she paused for a moment, she looked at just the facts, she would not have made that determination. If she paused and actually listened to the hearing yesterday, and what a Democrat who did not vote for the president, who has studied the Constitution, who has been a witness for Democrats and Republicans based upon his own ability as a scholar, that this is the weakest and thinnest impeachment in the history of America. There is no bribery, no extortion, no obstruction of justice, and no abuse of power.

“I think I have a hard time believing her,” he said.

We do too.
