AOC’s Diego de la Vega was in the United States illegally. Naturally, AOC (Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez) hired him as a campaign aide to the tune of nearly $80k per year. She recently expressed concern over Tom Homan coming after him. The problem is that it is against the law to have an illegal immigrant working in the Capitol. Or anywhere else, for that matter.
Diego de la Vega, who arrived in the United States from Ecuador at age seven and overstayed his visitor’s visa, began working for Ocasio-Cortez in October 2022, according to his LinkedIn. Last December, de la Vega left the United States and relocated to Bogotá with his wife, another illegal immigrant, the Substack “Migrant Insider” reported.
Ocasio-Cortez praised her former aide on Wednesday, saying he was ‘amazing’ and that ‘we love him.’
De la Vega’s self-deportation came soon after Donald Trump won the presidential election in November. Trump’s administration has ramped up immigration enforcement, and migrant encounters at the southern border have dropped to the lowest level since 2017. A total of 42,048 illegal migrants were removed from the United States between January 21 and February 18, according to Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen.” The Washington Free Beacon

After working for an immigrant rights group, he served as communications director for Robert Rodriguez, then a member of the New York State Assembly, who currently serves as president and CEO of the New York State Dormitory Authority, according to his LinkedIn page.
In 2021, de la Vega was hired by Ocasio-Cortez’s re-election campaign and eventually became her deputy communications director.” Fox
Do you think she should be investigated further? She was once on the list of people to be investigated for campaign finance issues, but that investigation vanished. Diego de la Vega is just the tip of the iceberg. She recently put out a PSA telling illegal immigrants how to avoid ICE. Something’s wrong with this picture.
