Dems hope to increase taxes on guns and Ammo

_h353_w628_m6_otrue_lfalseThe democrats were not able to push through massive gun control laws, so now they are trying to do the job with new taxes.  And we’re not talking little tax increases.  We are talking mucho grande tax increases.

Some taxes will rise as much as 2000%.

William Pascrell, D-N.J., and Danny Davis, D-Ill., have authored a bill called, “Gun Violence Prevention and Safe Communities Act.”  The bill increases the taxes on gun purchases from 11% to 22% and the tax on ammunition from 11% to 50%.  It also increases the transfer tax on guns covered under the  National Firearms Act from $200 to $500.  The most common guns are excluded under that act and would raise the tax on all other guns from $5 to $100, to be indexed by inflation.
