Democrats in the Senate Choose Illegal Aliens over Servicemen

One of the most controversial aspects of the new budget deal is the fact it will cut pensions for servicemen.  In order to restore the pensions, the Republicans proposed closing a loophole, where illegal aliens can get tax refunds for children, even if they live in another country.  The IRS estimates this costing 4.2 billion a year, enough to restore the pensions.  But, predictably, the democrats sided with those breaking the law against the military they loathe.

Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions proposed an amendment that would eliminate illegal payments to illegal aliens and would restore veteran’s pensions.  The democrats were having none of that:
