Dem Rep. Steve Cohen: ‘Where are our military folks’ to stop Trump?

On Monday, Rep. Steve Cohen, the Tennessee Democrat who angered many with his stated desire to give a Purple Heart to embattled FBI agent Peter Strzok, seemed to suggest a military coup to get rid of Donald Trump after the president’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Where are our military folks ? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!” he tweeted.

According to the Daily Caller:

Cohen’s bizarre tweet was similar to one from former Obama CIA Director John Brennan, who claimed on Monday that Trump’s press conference was “treasonous.”

Trump claimed on Monday that he confronted Putin about Russian election meddling but later sounded skeptical about the U.S. Intelligence Community’s conclusion that Russia was meddling in American politics during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Cohen’s apparent suggestion of a military coup went over like the proverbial lead balloon with many:

One person noted that Cohen was so brave after his last outrageous statement that he blocked quite a few people, presumably veterans:

Wait — isn’t that a violation of the First Amendment?  Or does that just apply to Trump?

Another person asked a rather pertinent question:

Good question…

One person posted a tweet Cohen posted back in 2012 which indicates he had a much different opinion on Russia at the time:

Of course, a Democrat was president then, so as we’re fond of saying: Scratch a liberal, find a hypocrite.

Actually, it is, but since Cohen is a deranged leftist, he’ll probably get away with it…

One of Cohen’s low-information followers asked:

Sorry, you can’t impeach a president because your side lost or you don’t like him.

Then there’s this:

Takes notes, because this is the modern Democrat Party, with Maxine Waters inciting violence, Steve Cohen advocating sedition and the party boss telling us that unhinged Socialists are the party’s future.

No wonder people are “walking away” from the party.
