Defunding the Thought Police, Part 3: Corporate America

The battle cry of freedom against the thought police, has taken form. We can use it for freedom:

GO WOKE, GO BROKE!

Note that the names of products and corporations are the property of their respective owners. And that no one in the article is accused of wrong-going. That said, let’s run to the battle:

THE STORY OF GILLETTE

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Gillette men’s grooming division, a nice way to describe overpriced plastic razors, lost a reported 8 BILLION dollars after a “woke” TV commercial about “toxic masculinity”.

In this masterpiece of economic suicide, GILLETTE paid a truckful of gold to a rather famous radical feminist film producer, to kick men who buy Gillette razors. The commercial lets Gillette customers know they let GILLETTE and the world down, by being male chauvinist pigs.

Millions of Gillette users decided they didn’t like being lectured to, and switched to shave clubs and dollar shops. Got great razors and cut their costs 70%.

A victory for the conservative Republican silent majority of the American people.

NIKE

Nike has been a little different. Instead of scolding its customers of being toxic macho, it kicked them for being racist.

Their means to do this has been Colin Kaepernick.

Kneeling to disrespect the flag and sacrifices made by men and women in the military, who fought and died so football players can rake in multi million dollar salaries for throwing around a piece of plastic, Kaepernick alienated more than half of America.

And as if the kneeling was not enough, the flag was later to come in for another beating. For July 4 2019, NIKE issued Betsy Ross flag running shoes. With the iconic hand-made first flag of America on the back.

The flag, did not appeal to Kaepernick, who called it Racist, although Barak Obama had featured it prominently at his inaugurations. Thus the flag of freedom became a sacrifice of the cancel culture. The shoes were recalled and perhaps their logos burned.

While not reaching the $ billion loss level of GILLETTE, NIKE is on the down-hill Go Woke – Go Broke slide.

The second quarter of 2020, they lost 790 million dollars. The CEO said it was unrelated to the coronavirus. A few more of those and it’s $ billion in the tank. Hmmm, I wonder why it happened?

Another victory for the American people. Keep it up. Why not forget Nike. Those sneakers you bought for $189 cost Nike about $25. Spend your money helping children in need.

AND FINALLY MY FAVORITE, NASCAR…

I’VE HAD A CAR ENGINE HOBBY SINCE A TEENAGER

Fans loved to come out, picnic, enjoy a day of racing. Some of them came from southern states. And to celebrate the beauty and culture of their home states today, they brought along confederate flags.

To my knowledge, and always in the spotlight, not one of them said a word about reinstating slavery. Not one wanted it. They simply were proud of their states today.

Yet, Bubba Wallace, gave the word to the management of NASCAR and to the fans… that awful word… RACIST !!!

And the flags were outlawed by NASCAR. Presumably the customers with them.

Then Wallace again came quickly again to national view when a garage door rope was mistaken as a racist attack. An FBI investigation showed it was a garage door closing rope.

But not before Wallace gave the nation a lecture about the kind of people behind the “noose”. People who are stupid and don’t want to listen.

Sick and tired of being called a racist? Then do the right thing and find a substitute for NASCAR. I like Bubba Wallace as a driver and a great guy, and am a fan of his, but I won’t be dehumanized by anyone calling me a racist.

Let the cry of freedom ring, from sea to shining sea, from the silent majority… no longer silent:

GO WOKE, GO BROKE !
