Defund the Police: Happening Now in Your Own Backyard

The bandwagon to “defund the police” is spreading across America like an avalanche roaring down a mountainside. And like an avalanche, it will kill those who are caught in its path. At a time when violence in cities is rising, and even suburbs are being struck with crazed leftists, “defund the police” is the most stupid plan in history.

defund the police

A notice put up in the Goodyear plant in Topeka, Kansas, said that there is a zero tolerance policy for any Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, MAGA attire, and any political affiliated slogans or material. But it is ok for Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ attires. Now excuse me, but they’re extremely political.

You can’t support police, but you can support the rioters. Good thinking, Goodyear.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Companies have been jumping on the Black Lives Matter bandwagon not just in donations, but in leveraging their company policies to show preference to people of color. Clif Bar, Door Dash, Pokemon, Ritz Crackers, Cisco, Microsoft, Intel, H&M, Degree, Dropbox, Airbnb have all donated large sums of money to Black Lives Matter Global and Color of Change – both of which subscribe to the defund the police rhetoric and even abolish the police. (Daily Caller) They’re also bent on destruction of America. But these companies don’t seem to understand and think they’re donating to a simple social justice narrative.

The purposes of BLM are not what these companies or even the at-large community think. Remember the statement of the woman at Seattle’s CHOP zone who specifically said that, “We are trained Marxists” and “You can’t rebuild until you break it all down.”

The following is from the Black Lives Matter Global Foundation website:

We practice empathy. We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts. (like the gentleman who was beaten senseless  in Portland over the weekend?)

We make our spaces family-friendly and enable parents to fully participate with their children. We dismantle the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work “double shifts” so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work.

We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.

We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).

We cultivate an intergenerational and communal network free from ageism. We believe that all people, regardless of age, show up with the capacity to lead and learn. (That’s why BLM activists threw paint all over an elderly white woman…)

We embody and practice justice, liberation, and peace in our engagements with one another. (But not with others, and call people like Candace Owens, who is Black, names because she disagrees)

From Austin to New York to Seattle to Portland to Chicago and beyond, the left is screaming for cities to defund the police. But do the Black folks who live in those cities really want police to go away? No.

And did you know that the majority of Black Lives Matter is white these days? So the “rage” we’re seeing in the riots may not be coming entirely from Black folks. Even in my own neighborhood for a while, a BLM flag flew on the front porch of a family of white folks. It has been removed now, so maybe they woke up.  Check out these interviews from Ami Horowitz. Note the difference between the white rage and the Black response.

This narrative must be stopped. Utopian sounding rhetoric covers an agenda that seeks to divide and destroy rather than unify this nation. While we are not in favor of police brutality, or deliberate racism, there is a difference between those things and calls to defund the police.  Figure it out, America, because where we’re headed is a place no one will like when we get there.
