CONSERVATIVES AGREE: A Trump Arrest will Enhance His Chances of Reelection

While the entire premise of the argument may seem counterintuitive, nothing about Donald Trump’s meteoric rise to the political hilt has been ordinary.

Trump is rumored to be arrested on Tuesday at the behest of the Manhattan District Attorney, likely in connection to the Stormy Daniels hush money probe.  Trump himself has lashed out at the news, suggesting that his followers “take back our nation” over the news.

And while many liberals on Twitter were celebrating the idea of a former President in handcuffs, conservatives seemed to be reading the situation more clearly, without the misplaced glee of the left.

Former President Donald Trump will win reelection in a “landslide victory” if he is handcuffed and arrested next week, Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, Tesla, and Twitter predicted in a tweet published Saturday.

Musk’s tweet was in reply to David Freiheit — also known as Viva Frei, who, similarly, assessed that a Trump arrest will lead to a boon of political support for the former president.

The exchange was succinct and stern.

Freiheit responded to a Fox News report speculating about the possible handcuffing of Trump and subsequent fingerprinting, processing, and transfer to a courtroom for arraignment. He wrote, “If this happens, it will be the beginning of Trump’s reelection.”
Musk responded, “If this happens, Trump will be re-elected in a landslide victory”.

Trump thrives on opposition, clearly, and his followers are already suggesting that this is nothing more than political persecution.
