The Ways and Means Committee doesn’t get the same kind of limelight as some of the spicier portfolios, but this exchange over ‘communist Green energy’ is one you don’t want to miss.
After 4 years of running unopposed under some very unorthodox rules launched by Nancy Pelosi, House Democrats are chafing under the fact that they are no longer calling the shots or able to run roughshod over elected GOP members who get in their way. They treated a razor-thin majority like it was a super-majority and act surprised that the GOP is being bare-knuckled in how that power is being used. (Forgetting so soon that Pelosi was happy to cheat and wear brass knuckles.)
Tensions (and resentment) are running high now that the House has become the spoke in the wheel blocking limitless advancement of the Joe Biden hard-left agenda. Like toddlers, they aren’t used to hearing the word ‘no’ and they have a tantrum when they hear it.
Part-way through the Ways and Means Committee, Bill Pascrell (D-NJ), opened his five minutes by showing open contempt for the process, calling the entire hearing ‘a farce’ and he called out one of the witnesses, and accused him of hate speech that would incite violence.

The video begins at that moment, and it continues through Bill’s rant after which he yields back ‘reluctantly’. David Turner, the witness Pascrell had denounced a couple of times requested a chance to respond. The chairman gave it to him.

As Turner was trying to spell out what he really meant in words small enough to pierce the veil of Leftist ideology, he was interrupted and shouted down several Democrats on the Committee. When one interruption was gaveled down by the Chairman, she had the audacity to complain that HIS refusal to recognize her while she was interrupting someone who had been given the floor was somehow ‘undemocratic’.
The point Turner raised about his conversation with Navajo Elders in New Mexico should be clipped by the GOP and put into campaign ads to blow gaping holes in the smug moral superiority weaponized by the Green activist set.
If you happen to keep watching to the next speaker, you will be treated to a point far too few in the government are making — the cycles of poverty, limited education, lack of opportunity and drug use that unite rural America and inner-city America in what the left likes to call ‘lived experience’.
