Collusion? Traitor? John Kerry Allegedly Rats Out Our Allies

According to the several media outets, Iran’s foreign Minister Zarif stated in leaked audio that John Kerry allegedly told him of 200 times that Israel had attacked targets in Syria. It reportedly shocked Zarif because Kerry knew about it before he did. Kerry was widely criticized for undermining the Trump administration by colluding with the Iranians previously. Is Kerry a traitor?

Kerry

The New York Times reported,

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

In the portions that were leaked, Mr. Zarif does praise the general and says they worked productively together in the prelude to the U.S. invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. He also says that by assassinating him in Iraq, the United States delivered a major blow to Iran, more damaging than if it had wiped out an entire city in an attack.

But he said some of Mr. Suleimani’s actions also damaged the country, citing, as one example, his moves against the nuclear deal Iran reached in 2015 with Western nations, the United States among them (the Trump administration later renounced it).

On the night that Iran decided to retaliate against the United States for the killing of General Suleimani, two Quds Force commanders went to see the Iraqi prime minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, to inform him that in about 45 minutes Iran would be firing missiles at a military base where U.S. troops were stationed, Mr. Zarif said. The Americans knew about the strike before he did.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry informed him that Israel had attacked Iranian interests in Syria at least 200 times, to his astonishment, Mr. Zarif said.

Keep in mind that John Kerry is now part of the Biden administration. He has a seat on the UN Security Council as a special climate advisor (you know, because he flies a carbon belching private jet). Advising our enemies of the actions of an ally is highly unethical. Kerry has been accused of being a traitor since the Vietnam War.

Fox noted,

After the leak became public, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh did not dispute the tape’s authenticity. He told journalists on Monday that the recording represented just a portion of a seven-hour interview Zarif gave to a well-known economist that was to be held for posterity by a think tank associated with the Iranian presidency.

Khatibzadeh called the release of the recording “illegal” and described it as “selectively” edited, though he and others did not offer opinions on how it became public. Zarif, visiting Iraq on Monday after a trip to Qatar, took no questions from journalists after giving a brief statement in Baghdad.

Will the release of the audio affect the talks to re-enter the Nuclear agreement in Vienna? The bigger question is…will John Kerry continue to be thought of as a traitor not just to his own country, but to our allies as well?
