Chris Matthews, who suffers from chronic tingle in his leg, made what I consider one of the most asinine statements he has ever made.
The problem is, I don’t like it, first of all I’m rather dovish, I don’t like what I’m going to say but it’s true. If you basically put down a red line and say don’t use chemical weapons, and it’s been enforced in the Western community, around the world — international community for decades — don’t use chemical weapons. We didn’t use them in World War II, Hitler didn’t use them, we don’t use chemical weapons, that’s no deal. Although we do know that Assad’s father did. And then he goes ahead and does it. It makes you wonder what the mullahs will do if they have a couple of nuclear weapons, just a couple. Are they capable of not using them? And that, of course, you know, I think that everybody talking this morning is projecting toward that, which is if you can’t use deterrents the normal way — mutually-assured destruction — you can’t say, if you do this, we’re blowing you up. If that doesn’t work, what does work? And that’s the problem.
Shouldn’t PMS/DNC assign a handler for this guy? No one used chemical weapons, Chris? What do you suppose was coming out of those showerheads in the concentration camps?
Extermination camps

Never before had there existed places with the express purpose of killing people en masse. These were established at Auschwitz, Belzec, Chełmno, Jasenovac, Majdanek, Maly Trostenets, Sobibor, and Treblinka
And how did we get rid of the jungle growth in order to be able to fight the enemy? Napalm, which as any tingleless kid can tell you ids a chemical weapon and a horrid one at that.
Poland used chemical bombs made in England, that released mustard gas if the explosives didn’t explode. England planned on using gas warfare, should Germany invade them by land.
In 1942, Churchill offered Stalin 1000 tons of mustard gas. Stalin declined, saying he wanted 5000 tons of chlorine, so they could make their own chemical weapons.
In December of 1943, in Bari , Italy. An American merchant ship docked with a secret shipment of 540 tons of mustard gas. The German Luftwaffen with JU 88-bombers attacked the 30 US-transport ships in Bari and released much of the gas before the ship went under. 328 soldiers and shipmates were made sick and 96 died. Many civilians were casualties also but the British doctors were able to keep it hushed up. The mustard gas was a small portion that was being sent in to be dumped on Germany over a 15 day period. Military estimates was that it would kill 5.6 million Germans and make another 12 million sick for a very long time.
