Chicago is well known for its violence, with the labor day shootings at 41, 7 of which were fatalities, according to ABC7. But the Chicago Mayor blamed Republicans for people shooting each other in her city after Ted Cruz tweeted that gun control doesn’t work.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot took issue with his statement, saying that her crime violence was all the fault of Republicans who never pass ‘common sense’ gun laws. She then tweeted a graphic the thinks proves her point.

Wait…Republicans in Indiana and other GOP states are responsible for the violence in Chicago? This comes from a woman who doesn’t trust her own police department to protect her, so uses an outside group as her bodyguards. What was that about “cowards?”
The Chicago Mayor blamed Republicans for all the violence because Democrats believe that guns coming into their city from someplace else is the problem. But handling the problem in their own cities is the real answer. Gun control never works. As many gun control laws as Chicago has, they still can’t get a handle on the violence- and that’s not the fault of surrounding states. That’s because cities like Chicago constantly throw more laws and money at problems instead of tackling them.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
