Kim Foxx, Chicago prosecutor, chose not to prosecute 5 rival gang members for a gunfight that left one dead, two injured, a car engulfed in flames, and shell casings strewn around the street. Police were immediately at the scene and were able to put 5 males in custody. The prosecutor declined prosecution on all five because it was a “mutual” fight. So never mind about public safety, Chicago gunfights and murder are okay as long as it’s mutual.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The shootout began when the Body Snatchers faction of the Four Corner Hustlers rolled up in two Dodge Chargers (likely stolen since one had dealer plates and the other had no plates at all,) to the Jack Boys faction and “exchanged words.” The Body Snatchers circled the block and when they returned, at least three members of the faction jumped out and opened fire on a house. More than 70 shell casings were found outside the home, but, as the Chicago Sun-Times notes, “that likely doesn’t reflect the number of shots that were fired from inside.”…
While the Body Snatchers took off once cops arrived, one of the cars was “found engulfed in flames” near the scene, the other was spotted dropping off one of the injured members at a hospital. After a brief chase, the 20-year old driver crashed the car and was apprehended.
Meanwhile, the Jack Boys faction refused to leave the home or cooperate with police. This resulted in a standoff that required SWAT team intervention.
Even left wing Mayor Lori Lightfoot found it outrageous and penned a letter to Kim Foxx asking her to reconsider her decision on Chicago gunfights – which is not Foxx’s first foray into failure to prosecute. There are serious ramifications of allowing gang violence in any city.
The source said police sought to charge all five suspects with murder and aggravated battery. By Sunday morning, a Chicago police spokeswoman acknowledged the suspects had “been released without charges.”
In a statement later Sunday, Cristina Villareal, a spokeswoman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office, explained that prosecutors had “determined that the evidence was insufficient to meet our burden of proof to approve felony charges.” Police officials agreed with the decision, Villareal added.
While she wouldn’t specify what other evidence prosecutors needed to file charges, the police report acknowledged that victims of the shootout weren’t cooperating with investigators.
But the report also framed the state’s attorney’s office’s decision to decline charges in a different light: “Mutual combatants was cited as the reason for the rejection.” Mutual combat is a legal term used to define a fight or struggle that two parties willingly engage in.
So if gang-bangers show up in front of your apartment in these major cities and start shooting at each other, no one will get in trouble on either side because it’s “mutual combat.” Instead of charging both sides with Aggravated Assault, Kim Foxx decided to charge no one despite video taken, police POD footage, and plenty of witnesses. Yes, when some victims refuse to cooperate, the case can be dropped, but this case has plenty of probable cause to prosecute. This situation has produced outrage, and many believe it’s because Kim Foxx is one of Soros’ prosecutors who deliberately leave Chicago citizens without any safety whatsoever.
Thanks in some large part to Foxx, Chicago has no safe neighborhoods left. Ken Griffin, Chicago’s wealthiest resident, has said that “Chicago is like Afghanistan on a good day, and that’s a problem.” He is talking about picking up his multibillion-dollar hedge fund and leaving for someplace where financial managers are actually willing to live. He also took it personally when someone “tried to carjack the security detail” outside his home, because it’s become that bad.
It’s really quite simple to explain what has happened. Wealthy leftist donors such as George Soros have decided they find it amusing to endanger Chicagoans and the inhabitants of other major cities by funding the campaigns of incompetent, dishonest, soft-on-crime district attorneys such as Foxx, Philadelphia’s Larry Krasner, Baltimore’s Marilyn Mosby, and others. Based on the spike in violent crime over which these Soros DAs have presided, it seems safe to say that this project is making America’s cities uninhabitable again.
”No safe neighborhoods left in Chicago.” That’s a stunning statement. The number of Chicago gunfights is out the roof there, and this is one reason why. The Mayor can grumble, the anti-gunners can scream for more laws, but the underlying problem is that there are no repercussions for the actions of gang members who engage in violence.
