British singer Morrissey: I’d kill President Trump ‘for the safety of humanity’

During an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel, British singer Morrissey said he’d kill President Trump “for the sake of humanity,” the Washington Times reported Saturday.

“If there was a button here and if you pressed on it, Trump would die dead [sic]– would you push it or not?” Der Spiegel asked Morrissey.

“I would, for the safety of humanity. It has nothing to do with my personal opinion of his face or his family, but in the interest of humanity I would push,” the singer said in response.

According to the Times:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Morrissey’s response to the magazine’s hypothetical question about killing the president was one of a handful of remarks published by Der Spiegel conveying his thoughts on the 45th president of the United States.

Trump has received so much attention, especially when compared to other candidates — Bernie Sanders, for example. Although the media said he would not win, every day, all the headlines: Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump!” Morrissey said.

Morrissey also claimed the media helped Trump.

“The American media helped Trump, yes, they first created it. Whether they criticize him or laugh at him, he does not care, he just wants to see his picture and his name. The American media have shot themselves in the leg,” he said.

The Times added:

Since taking office in January, Mr. Trump “has exhausted the world,” Morrissey added. “He grabs after everything like a little child. He is not a leader. He is vermin.”

“I never expected him to be elected,” Morrissey continued. “Maybe, I have no faith in the political elite anymore.”

Wayne Dupree noted this is the same singer who defended Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein a few weeks ago.

Dupree added:

The mainstream media’s lies and constant badgering of Trump has sent their vision of our leader across the waters resulting in this man making threats when he doesn’t even have a clue about what’s happening in our country.

Will the Secret Service visit him too?

The 58-year-old Steven Patrick Morrissey, by the way, is only the latest liberal to advocate Trump’s murder.

Dupree is absolutely correct in laying this at the feet of the mainstream media, which has sought to take Trump out through fake news and innuendo.

Sarah Palin wondered:

That’s easy.  Liberals have been allowed to express this type of bloodthirsty hate for years.

Actor Michael Shannon, for example, said it’s time for Trump voters to die, and Will Smith even talked about “cleansing” America of Trump supporters.

After Trump’s election, we found several GoFundMe pages raising funds to pay for Trump’s assassination, and Twitter had absolutely no problem with a hashtag advocating his murder.

In February 2011, I first said that liberalism, at its core, is an ideology of rage and hate.  Sadly, Trump-haters like Morrissey prove that assertion on just about any given day.

This is the modern left.  Let that sink in…
