‘Bright Sessions’ creator Lauren Shippen: ‘I 100 percent want to take away your guns’

On Friday, Lauren Shippen, creator and writer of the science fiction podcast, The Bright Sessions, made it clear that she doesn’t care about the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms and admitted in a profane tweet that she wants to confiscate all guns.

“Let me be crystal clear: I 100% want to take away your guns. F**k your second amendment. Until children stop getting slaughtered in school, absolutely f**k it. Take them all away,” she said in a rather profane tweet.

Apparently, she thinks we must all comply because she dropped f-bombs.

Naturally, she got hammered on the social media site.

But that makes sense, which is why liberal anti-gunners reject it.  They really don’t want to “fix” anything — they simply want to restrict others’ rights for their own selfish and totalitarian desires.

One person issued a challenge to Shippen:

Quite a few others told her essentially the same thing.

One person asked:

Good question.  Maybe she’ll hold her breath for gun confiscation as well.

Shippen, by the way, hasn’t cared much for gun rights for quite a while, and like so many other anti-gun leftists, is rather ignorant on the subject.

In 2017, for example, she falsely implied that people can just walk into a gun store and walk back out with an automatic weapon:

In 2017, it is also just physically easier to kill another human. We all know how simple it is to get a gun, how that gun could easily be an automatic rifle. Fifty people in five minutes. That’s how easy it is to kill someone else. That’s how easy it is to kill dozens of someones. Go to your local gun shop, get a rifle, find a hotel room window, walk into a school, a nightclub, a movie theater and put pressure on a tiny curve of metal to kill an entire crowd.

Actually, it’s been illegal to purchase an automatic weapon for decades and if Shippen had done any research at all, she would have known that.

“I work in media. I’m a fiction writer,” she said.

Maybe she should stick to doing what she does best — writing fiction.
