Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Former Democratic President Bill Clinton has hit the campaign trail hard on behalf of his wife, apparently jonesing for another term or two in the White House.
While stumping for Hillary in New Hampshire on Sunday, he launched an attack on her lone rival, Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders, on multiple fronts. One of the topics he touched upon was — get this — the “Bernie Bro” (see also “Berniebro”) phenomenon. For the uninitiated, that is a derogatory term used to describe a loose-knit group of male Sanders supporters who have attacked Hillary supporters for “voting with their vagina” and called them “bitches.”
Apart from the fact that Sanders has urged the Bernie Bros to tone down their rhetoric, even distancing himself from a group of potential voters, Bubba has little room to talk, considering his own well-known history as a womanizer and an accused rapist. How rich to hear Clinton castigate other men for being “too profane — not to mention sexist — to repeat.”
To add irony to insult, Kathleen Willey, a former White House volunteer who says Clinton groped her in an Oval Office hallway in 1993, announced her intention to work for an anti-Clinton political group. Willey, as Steven H. Ahle reported last July, has started her own anti-Hillary website to educate voters about the Clintons.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
It’s somewhat academic, however, as Hillary found herself trounced by New Hampshire voters who ended up supporting Sanders.
