An article in Axios revealed a few ginormous reasons for Biden’s Botched Border. And no, even with the bent of Axios’ article, it wasn’t Donald Trump who royally screwed things up, it is the Biden administration.
“Biden exploded w/ rage at his team aboard AF1 on the way to border last year. – Susan Rice called HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra a “bitch ass”& “idiot”. – VP Harris’ team made it clear her responsibilities “began and ended” w/ root causes in just the 3 Northern Triangle counties & Mexico, w/ a former Biden admin official saying Harris has been “at best, ineffective”. – Mayorkas disagreed with Biden’s 100 day halt on deportations. – Homeland Security adviser Liz Sherwood-Randall displayed inexperience, asked for a memo explaining the difference between refugees & asylum seekers. – Biden admin has listened to “vocal immigration advocates outside the administration”. – “The White House generally didn’t want to talk publicly about immigration or the border for much of Biden’s first three years, feeling it would draw attention to a political vulnerability.” – “Publicly, the White House also initially downplayed jumps in illegal border crossings as normal “ebbs and flows” — even as some internally pushed to acknowledge that the problem was significant.” Bill Melugin, National Correspondent for Fox News on X.
The Axios article claims that the “crisis grew slowly.” Actually, it climbed exponentially almost all at once when Biden took office to the mess we have now.

Then there’s the fact that the whole open border gig was intentional from the get-go by Joe Biden saying he wanted an “unrelenting stream of migrants.”

Biden’s Botched border is a victim of many situations from infighting to outright stupidity. VP Harris only views her role narrowly and refuses to take any responsibility for being the so-called “border czar.” To call her “ineffective” is a total understatement. She giggled her way through Central American meetings but has not addressed the global nature of the migrant crisis. The migrants are not just coming from the “northern triangle” they are coming from adversaries like China. She fumbled that ball severely.
Some of the officials involved are reportedly not in the “right roles” and therefore are woefully inadequate for the task. Disagreements, incompetence, intentional disorder. Biden’s botched border chugs along like a pioneer wagon with a broken wheel while the United States struggles to keep her head above water. Lady Liberty has a migraine with no medication available to help.
