Assassination to Save Roe v Wade? Liberal Ex-Reporter Goes Off the Rails

Liberal ex-reporter Simon Gwynn went off the rails in a series of two Tweets that questions whether assassination would save Roe v Wade. He later deleted the tweets. But as with anything on the internet, it’s never really gone. It also reminds eveyone that liberalism is an ideology of rage and hate.

Then he deleted them both.

If they weren’t against the Twitter Terms of Service, then why did he delete them? Twitter users immediately went after him, mentioning him to the FBI, and calling him out for his assassination “thoughts.” (Note: Simon Gwynn lived in England at one point, so it’s unlikely the FBI, the Secret Service, or even US Marshals will pay him a much-deserved visit.)

This was no “thought experiment.” This was exactly what it appeared to be: wishful thinking on a public forum in hopes of putting the idea in someone’s mind and that they might act on it.

@Shadyhugs

Ruminating about assassinating Supreme Court Justices is a vile and despicable act, and the work of a coward.

Why did you just delete these tweets? @SimonGwynn – @FBI This person should be arrested today!

@catturd2

What if all of a sudden people started having “thought experiments” about you?

@AlphaSplendens9

Deleted by you but not disappeared

@davidwebbshow

I think you might be in trouble….incitement is a big deal.

@LisaMar91654

Some “thought experiment.” You knew exactly what you were doing.

Simon Gwynn’s assassination ponderings – are they a pattern? He once worked for Haymarket Media Group, but resigned due to “unwise tweets.” Then after he made that mistake, he posted the following on Medium:

“First, my comment was highly insensitive and had the potential to cause great upset, especially to anyone who has been affected either directly or indirectly by sexual assault or domestic abuse. In particular, if the woman who has made the allegations against Greenwood caught wind of my comment, she may have found it highly distressing. I am deeply sorry for this.

Second, it’s just not good practice to post something that has the potential to upset and aggravate a large number of people. To those Newcastle fans who I offended, I am sorry.

Third, my Twitter account was verified and identified me as an employee of the company, which meant it was clearly associated with my conduct. My activity violated the company’s social media policy.

Fourth, my post was a breach of journalistic ethics because it commented on a live criminal investigation. I hadn’t realised at the time of posting that the police were investigating Greenwood, but that doesn’t offer an excuse — given that such an investigation was likely, it was something I should have steered completely clear of. This principle is important because making public comment on a criminal case could risk prejudicing a potential trial, which could result in a victim of crime being denied justice. Greenwood remains innocent until found guilty.

Simon Gwynn

It appears that Mr. Gwinn didn’t learn his lesson the first time. Either that, or he simply WANTS to create upheaval and likes to incite people to do something that is wrong. Assassination of Supreme Court Justices is more than just a vile “thought experiment” – it should be treated as a incitement.
