Articles Of Impeachment Filed Against Tyrannical Minnesota Governor Tim Walz

Rep. Erik Mortensen of Scott County filed Articles of Impeachment against tyrannical Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on Monday, alleging that he violated his oath of office, as well as the Minnesota and US Constitutions.

Mortensen took to Facebook on Sunday to affirm that he would be filing the Articles of Impeachment on Monday.

“Articles of Impeachment against Governor Tim Walz will be introduced in the Minnesota House tomorrow.  One man wielding unilateral control of a state is as anti-democratic as it gets. In the last 11 months, he has repeatedly violated his constitutional oath of office and must be held accountable,” he wrote.

Will Donald Trump win the 2024 election?

“It has become abundantly clear that Gov. Walz does not care if he abides by the State and U.S. Constitution in which he’s responsible for upholding,” Mortensen said.

Walz stands accused of:

  • Failing to respect the separation of powers
  • Inventing new penalties for violation of his executive orders without legislative sanction
  • Banning the free exercise of religion (violation of the First Amendment in the U.S. Constitution and Minnesota’s Constitution, Article 1, Section 16)
  • Taking private property (violation of Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution)
  • Banning nearly all non-emergency medicine

“I’m doing my duty to uphold the constitution of Minnesota and the U.S. that I swore an oath to on January 5th. Gov. Walz is acting completely anti-democratic violating our Representative Republic form of government in which only legislators make laws and that is dangerous. Governors do not have the power to make laws,” Rep. Mortensen said in a statement.  “This is basic civics stuff and Gov. Walz doesn’t care.”

Mortenson and the North Star Liberty Alliance sought to draft the language for the Articles, according to Mebere.com.

The North Star Liberty Alliance had previously put together a petition that people could sign and send to their representatives to support the impeachment of Walz. That petition read as follows:

To my State Representative and Senator

Whereas, Governor Walz has imposed a state emergency and stripped Minnesotans of key, inalienable rights to travel and seek gainful employment by forbidding people to work or leave their house unless he deems it essential, and;

Whereas, the order by the Governor deeming some jobs ‘non-essential’ caused hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans to lose their jobs in a few weeks, and;

Whereas, this stay at home order pits the material and physical well being of Minnesota citizens against each other; while claiming to minimize health risks due to COVID-19, it also imposes significant dangers to the physical well being of families that have lost income or access to needed medical care, and;

Whereas, Governor Walz’ order violated his oath of office to uphold the Constitutions of the United States and of Minnesota by stripping Minnesotans of their most cherished civil liberties, including but not limited to:

The First Amendment rights to freedom of assembly and worship as they chose,
The Second Amendment right to bear arms by shutting the process where they can beg for ‘permission’ to carry a firearm,
The Sixth Amendment right to a speedy trial by shutting down the courts where their case can be heard, and;
Whereas, these attacks on the liberties and physical safety of Minnesotans were deliberate actions Governor’s in his capacity as Governor are grounds for impeachment, and;

Therefore, be it resolved we call up the Minnesota House of Representatives to impeach Governor Tim Walz and for the Minnesota Senate to convict him and thereby remove him from office, and;

Be it further resolved, we can call on each and every member of the Minnesota legislature to request a recorded vote on each motion related to impeaching Governor Walz.

According to WCCO, “In the history of the United States, only eight Governors have been forced out of office by impeachment. The most recent was Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. There has never been an impeached Governor from Minnesota.”

Rep. Mortensen claims Walz issuing over 100 executive orders is “evidence of his crimes and corrupt behavior.”

The following is the text of the Articles of Impeachment against Walz.
