Donald Trump, Gen. Jim Mattis, USMC (Retired), and Gen. John Kelly, USMC (Retired) just very well could be brothers from different mothers.
As seen in today’s donnybrook of a press conference at Trump Tower, the President-Elect went into full-on Jarhead attack mode on CNN’s Jim Acosta.
Unless one has been living in a cave in the Himalayas, just about everyone in the civilized world has already seen the video clip of The Donald’s giving the CNN reporter the proverbial back of his hand.
But while the vast majority of news organizations have chosen to have said clip abruptly end the very split second The Donald utters the words “fake news,” what many haven’t seen, or heard as the case may be, was the round of applause coming from the press corps back benchers, ostensibly glad that someone finally called out one of the chief propagandists for the NeverTrump movement (see video below).
In the meantime, over at the Fox News Channel, the news reader that many Fox viewers would follow in Megyn Kelly’s rather hasty exit has taken it upon himself to defend both CNN and Jim Acosta.
As reported by Breitbart.com;
Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “Shepard Smith Reporting,” host Shep Smith rallied to the defense of his CNN colleague Jim Acosta after President-elect Donald Trump called out Acosta’s organization personally for being fake news following a report about Trump’s involvement with Russia.
“[C]NN’s exclusive reporting on the Russian matter was separate and distinctly different from the document dump executed by an online news property,” Smith said. “Though we at Fox News cannot confirm CNN’s report, it is our observation that its correspondents followed journalistic standards and that neither they nor any other journalists should be subjected to belittling or delegitimizing by the President-elect of the United States.”
