Antifa Cheered Arson Attack at Oregon Police Officer’s Home
On November 11, 2020, an Oregon police officer’s home was targeted by an arsonist who set one of his vehicles ablaze. The Pacific Northwest Youth Liberation Front, an Antifa group, went on Twitter to cheer the attack. Yes, Antifa cheered an arson attack against an Oregon Police officer.
Officials were concerned that Antifa had followed the Oregon police officer home, and did not identifty the agency for which the officer worked. They only stated he did not work for the Portland Police Bureau. The FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, as well as Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue are investigating the arson incident. They believe the arson may be linked to the riots in Portland, since several other officers have been followed by Antifa and their homes vandalized. Antifa also attacked the home of Portland City official Dan Ryan after he gave the deciding vote NOT to defund the Portland police further (Oregon Public Broadcasting).
A mob of antifa have descended on the home of Portland city council member Dan Ryan for voting against @JoAnnPDX’s amendment to defund police. They’re attacking his home now (turn on audio). #PortlandRiots pic.twitter.com/YJoJhX3XIS

When Fox News contacted Twitter, the platform did not respond. But when we checked the account, Twitter had “restricted” it, but not suspended it. We were still able to access their tweets.
“Unusual activity.” Advocating “direct action” for riots and attacks on police is not unusual for these Antifa groups, it’s standard. The group’s page was taken down from Facebook, ironically. Some examples of the PNW Youth Liberation Front tweets from the summer of 2020, as reported by Fox:
“To all the people on the streets who call themselves ‘peaceful protesters’. I don’t know where you’ve been for the past 4+ years, but being peaceful doesn’t stop the police, how do I know this? Because people have been doing this for years before you hopped on the protest trend.”
“We’ve stood in the streets, hands up, non violent, and time and time again brutalized, shot with chemical weapons, and arrested. There’s a simple reason why you haven’t experienced intense police brutality yet, it’s called Public F—–g Relations.”
“The pigs are in a PR battle so they say there’s a difference from ‘peaceful’ and ‘violent’ protesters.’ When in fact what we are fighting is the ultimate form of violence, making any and all resistance self and community defense.”
They have tweeted that their committment is to a “stateless and decentralized world.” (The anarchist part of Antifa). They admitted they often work with Marxist/Leninists (which they refer to as MLs). A few Communist party accounts took issue with Antifa attacking them as well as the regular folks.
There are plenty of individual MLs who are good people that we work with, and we have no qualm with the millions of rank and file in communist parties throughout history who had a vision of liberation. Instead our critique lies at the tendency for ML parties to become tyrannical

Newsflash: Antifa is pretty tyrannical all by itself.
The EpochTimes reported:
PNW was created by youth and students and have described themselves as dedicated to the “liberation of all people through any means necessary.”
According to their website, the group wants Immigration Customs Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security abolished, labeling them as “fascist systems” that “terrorize our community’s [sic].” They also want to defund the police and “put an intimidate [sic] end to the militarization of local police departments.”
National Police Association spokesperson and retired Sgt. Betsy Brandner Smith said Antifa is not just an idea, as Democratic candidate Joe Biden has said, but a dangerous organization with a similar structure to that of “an Islamic terror cell.”
“Antifa is more than just an idea, Antifa has quite a history, going back to the 20s and 30s and Hitler’s brown shirts and then we come into the anarchists of the 60s through to today,” Smith told The Epoch Times “Crossroads” program.
Yes, they’re just an “idea” – one that is exceedingly dangerous.
