On Monday, Fox News and others reported that Ilhan Omar, the newly-elected America-hating anti-Semitic terrorist-sympathizing Democrat Member of Congress from Minnesota, issued a tweet in 2017 falsely claiming that “thousands” of Somalis were killed on the day of the “Black Hawk Down” incident.
“In his selective memory, he forgets to also mention the thousands of Somalis killed by the American forces that day! #NotTodaySatan,” she tweeted in response to another Twitter user Twitter who said that over a dozen U.S. soldiers were killed and another 73 were wounded in the Battle of Mogadishu, calling it the “worst terrorist attack in Somalia history.”

Fox News explained that even though the actual number of casualties are disputed, they come nowhere near the “thousands” that Omar claimed:
The number of Somali casualties in the Battle of Mogadishu is widely disputed. A representative of the Somali National Alliance estimated that only 133 militiamen were killed during a 2001 interview while “Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War” author Mark Bowden estimated roughly 500 Somalis were killed. As the Investigative Project on Terrorism also noted, the Rand Corporation reported that about 300 civilians were killed while others estimated nearly 1,000.
“Nearly 1,000,” for those who may have trouble making the comparison, is a FAR cry from “thousands,” as Omar claimed.
Critics shredded Omar on social media.

That’s easy. She hates America.
Are you a United States Congresswoman? https://t.co/iNpM6swcO3

Unfortunately, yes, which is a rather sad commentary on the state of the electorate in certain districts of the country.
Notice, by the way, how it was only American forces who killed Somalians, in Omar’s view. Nevermind that the Muslim countries of Malaysia and Pakistan were also fighting against Aidid’s forces there.
Only America is the enemy to Ilhan Omar.

And she’s now in Congress. That should speak volumes…
Fox News said Omar’s office did not respond to a request for comment. We’re really not surprised.
