Independence Day is a truly American holiday. Which means that liberals truly hate it. It makes sense, given that liberals hate America. Among those expressing disdain for the country while enjoying its freedom is liberal activist and filmmaker Bree Newsome Bass, who declared that anyone who happily waves Old Glory “is either a gleeful white supremacist or is gleefully uninformed.”
“Americans’ false belief that this country has been on a steady progression toward granting equal rights to all since its founding is exactly what inspires complacency in this hour as the Supreme Court replaces the constitution with themselves,” she claimed on Twitter.
“I’m sorry, but anyone happily waving American flags right now is either a gleeful white supremacist or is gleefully uninformed,” she added.

So brave was she in announcing her eternal hatred for the country that she refuses to let just anyone respond to her tweet. She might be exposed to criticism, after all, and that simply will not do.

You know, just because she hates this country and its ideals doesn’t mean everyone else has to. And we know it’s kind of a cliché at this point to tell someone to move to another country if they hate it here so damn much, but Bree should really consider packing her backs and heading off to a place that’s more aligned with her personal political beliefs. Nobody’s waving American flags around in, say, Cuba or Venezuela. At least not without being thrown into prison indefinitely. Perhaps Bree should take all the money she’s made during her career as a left-wing attention whore and buy some property in Caracas. Given how poor pretty much everyone else is there, she should be able to get a pretty nice place with her earnings and still have enough spare change to finance her “art.”
This, by the way, IS the modern left. Let that sink in.
