Jose Ines Garcia Zarate was found not guilty Thursday of murdering Kate Steinle on Pier 14 in San Francisco in July 2015 and as a result, Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC) released a statement of this injustice.

Zarate was acquitted of first and second degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. He also was found not guilty of assault with a semi-automatic weapon. He was found guilty of possessing a firearm by a felon. The jury had deliberated for six days.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Steinle family. It is so shameful that they have been deprived of justice by a court that refused to let the jury hear about or consider the five deportations and immigration status of the illegal that shot her on the pier, “William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC.

Gheen says Democrats should also be held accountable for these policies.

“They are the party of criminality,” Gheen said. “The reason there is a one-to-one statistical relationship between straight Democratic voting behavior precincts and the highest crime probabilities according to the UCR crime indexes and the country. So this gives us a rather clear example about how Democrats and socialists lead to the victimization of our citizens because they are a contributory to those crimes.”

“We call on Jeff Sessions, the US Department of Justice, and the Trump administration to immediately arrest and charge Jose Ines Garcia Zarate with federal crimes including being an illegal alien in possession of a firearm which carries up to a five-year sentence.”
