The Clarion Project reported that Ayman Mohammed Rabie al-Zawahiri has issued a warning to America which he warns of attacks on the United States that will be “1,000 Times 9/11, much more devastating than what occurred on September 11, 2001 (9/11), when Muslim terrorists hijacked US aircraft and crashed them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

In 2012, he called on Muslims to kidnap Western tourists in Muslim countries.

Since the September 11, 2001 attacks, U.S. State Department has offered a $25 million reward for information leading to al-Zawahiri’s capture. He is under worldwide sanctions by the United Nations Security Council 1267 Committee as a member or affiliate of al-Qaeda.

On the seventh anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Zawahiri released a 90-minute tape in which he blasted “the guardian of Muslims in Tehran” for recognizing “the two hireling governments” in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Al-Zawahri said Tehran was “cooperating with the Americans in occupying Iraq and Afghanistan” and slammed Iran for recognizing the two governments. He also criticized the Shiites for not calling for a jihad in Iraq against the “Crusader occupier.” In militant postings, “crusaders” is shorthand for U.S. troops in Iraq.

“The guardian of Muslims in Tehran is cooperating with the Americans in occupying Iraq and Afghanistan and recognizes the two hireling governments there,” al-Zawahri said.

Zawahri has been increasingly singling out Iran and Shiites in his messages, most recently in April, describing the “Persians” as the enemy of Arabs and complicit in the occupation of Iraq.

In an audio recording released on December 14, 2009, al-Zawahiri renewed calls to establish an Islamic state in Israel and urged his followers to “seek jihad against Jews” and their supporters.

He also called for jihad against America and the West, and labeled Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia as the “brothers of Satan”.
