Adviser: Hillary Clinton Could Run Again in 2020

Philippe Reines, a former top aide to Hillary Clinton, made the assertion that the two-time presidential election loser could be the Democrat party’s best hope to defeat Trump in 2020.

Clinton has said she is”not running (for office),” believing her voice would have a bigger impact from the outside looking in.

Her long-time aide scoffed at the notion and took umbrage with people who would likewise dismiss her candidacy.

To those who think she can’t run a third time, Reines countered, “She is smarter than most, tougher than most, she could raise money easier than most, and it was an absolute fight to the death.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Reines also noted that the Clinton’s have a base made up of 32 million people, “multiples of what a Sanders or a Warren have.”

Not Zero

Saying she’d make a good candidate is a far cry from actually committing to another grueling campaign, however.

So Reines was asked if he thought Clinton would toss her pantsuit back in the ring. Specifically, he was asked what the chances were that she’d pull the trigger.

“It’s somewhere between highly unlikely and zero,” he said, “but it’s not zero.”

‘Highly unlikely and zero’ sound more like the odds she could actually beat President Trump.

Sarah Sanders Responds

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders had the perfect response to news that Hillary might run again in 2020.

Why She Won’t

Indeed, to Sanders point, propping Clinton back up on the national stage in 2020 seems like a suicide mission for the Democrats and a gift to Trump’s second term aspirations.

President Trump, himself, has been chomping at the bit to face off against Clinton once more.

Clinton is one of the few politicians who has consistently maintained lower favorability numbers than Trump, even watching those numbers decline as time has marched on.

Meanwhile, reports have surfaced in the midterms that show some Democrats still view her as a political liability, referring to her support as “the kiss of death.”

Hillary, if you recall, killed her own campaign in 2016 by failing to visit key swing states … and being generally unlikeable.

Why She Might

There is nobody on the planet more convinced of her own self-worth than Hillary Clinton. It was her right, she believed, to be President. It was her destiny to shatter the glass ceiling.

Not to mention, getting herself and her husband back in the White House would get the Clinton family back into the money laundering scheming making game. Believe it, they won’t pass an opportunity to enrich themselves.

She’s also had the chutzpah to embark on a national speaking tour with her sexually deviant husband, even after the Kavanaugh smear campaign, re-upping her public profile.

Then of course, as Reines suggested, Hillary does have a large base of brain-dead supporters. She can bring in money. And she could survive a brutal campaign. Clinton has survived every investigation into her criminality over the years, so what’s another year or two of added scrutiny?

Another close confidant of the Clintons, Doug Schoen, has said for some time that she will run again in 2020, “even if it’s only in her own mind.”

Your Thoughts?

Do you think Hillary will actually run again in 2020? Are you concerned that she may win this time around if there is enough anti-Trump sentiment out there amongst Democrats and the media?
