Actress Debra Messing wants to ‘out’ attendees of Trump’s Beverly Hills fundraiser

On Sept. 17, the Hollywood Reporter reports, the Trump Victory Committee — a joint fundraising effort by the Republican National Committee (RNC) and 11 state Republican committees — will host a fundraiser for Donald Trump’s reelection in Hollywood. Tickets for the event are running as high as $100,000 per couple.
One Tinseltowner who won’t be attending the event is Debra Messing, a far-left actress who has made it clear through her actions in recent years that she doesn’t like Trump and isn’t too wild about the country.
Messing is well within her rights as an American citizen to oppose the president and what he stands for. Apparently, she doesn’t believe Americans with the opposite view are entitled to theirs, judging from a tweet she posted in reaction to the Hollywood Reporter article:
Please print a list of all attendees please. The public has a right to know. https://t.co/YV4UoxrPHI

She is seeking to make public the names of traitors to her cause, a position her side once balked at. As Fox News host Greg Gutfield reminds us in a tweet:
Whats the difference between Joe McCarthy and Debra Messing?
One organized a witch hunt against law-abiding people with dissenting opinions. The other was a senator from Wisconsin. https://t.co/pVkZFQXZap

The notion of maintaining enemies list and “outing,” or in the worst-case scenario doxing, political enemies has been gaining favor in the current century. During his presidency, Barack Obama maintained what some have called a “White House Enemies List,” and recently lesser lawmakers have become increasingly comfortable with doxing those who harbor different ideological viewpoints. In May a Pennsylvania state Democratic congressman named Brian Sims offered $100 to any of his constituents who agreed to dox teenagers praying outside an abortion clinic. And more recently, during the heated Kavanaugh confirmation hearings, Jackson Cosko — a former aide to Democratic New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan, Democratic California Sen. Barbara Boxer, and Democratic Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee — stole the entire contents of Hassan’s computer systems and published the private information of Republicans, including home addresses and cell phones. His hope was to intimidate the congressmen into voting against confirming Kavanaugh.
