Whatever Joe Biden’s policy priorities might have been, the one thing that did NOT define them was national security concerns.
Every time you turn around he did something else to make us less secure. Abbey Gate was just one of many examples. Raising bail for rioters while locking up praying grandmothers? That’s another one.
Selling off our oil reserves so voters could save a few cents a gallon just in time for an election? That was both cynical AND reckless. Flooding the country with unvetted people from around the world and doing nothing about it when even a feckless goober like Chris Wray is warning about all kinds of ‘blinking red lights’ on the metaphorical national security dashboard.
In August of 2021, Joe Biden made a bold statement after the suicide bomber wreaked havoc at Abbey Gate in Kabul:

“To those who carried out this attack, as well as anyone who wishes America harm, know this: We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay,” Mr. Biden said. “Our mission will go on. America will not be intimidated.” — CBS News
To prove how much he meant it, his administration droned ten civilians. And nobody was fired for it.
The Pentagon’s announcement will likely fuel more criticism of the Biden administration’s chaotic evacuation of Kabul and handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan more broadly. While McKenzie stressed Friday that future strikes will likely be held to a higher standard, confirmation of the civilian death toll also provides insight into the obstacles ahead for military and intelligence officials tasked with fulfilling President Joe Biden’s promise to make the terror group “pay” for its deadly suicide attack in Kabul.
The Pentagon had maintained that at least one ISIS-K facilitator and three civilians were killed in what Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley had previously called a “righteous strike” on the compound on August 29. The investigation released Friday found that all of those killed in the residential compound were civilians. — CNN
From that time forward, the Biden admin treated the incident as if it didn’t exist. Families were never really acknowledged. The promise to bring people to justice was never followed through on.
One distraught father interrupted Biden’s last SOTU by shouting out a reminder about Abbey Gate. He faced serious charges from the Capital Police for interrupting the proceedings (in a somewhat less obnoxious way than Rep Al Green did). Those charges were eventually dropped.
Fast forward to the Trump administration.
Forty-two days into his Presidency, Trump is standing before the Joint Session of Congress, and has an announcement to make about — of all things — Abbey Gate.
What news could he POSSIBLY have to bring about Abbey Gate just a little more than one month into his presidency?
The sonofabitch responsible was already on his way to America where he would face justice.
Seb Gorka, Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, Pam Bondi, Kash Patel and others worked together to prioritize two things: bringing home Americans held hostage abroad, and making good on American promises to make terrorists pay for what they had done to American men and women.
Right there near the top of the list was the guy behind Abbey Gate.
