Seven members of the US congress were arrested today, when they sat in the middle of the road and blocked traffic, prior to the immigration rally, held at the national mall. Arrested were, Keith Ellison, John Lewis, Joseph Crowley, Al Gree, Charley Rangel, Raul Grijalva, and Luis Gutierrez.
Despite the disturbance, the park police allowed the illegal immigrants to rally at the national mall. Javier Morillo, president of Service Employees International Union Local 26, was also arrested.
