Video: Bill Clinton blames GOP for Hillary’s email scandal

clintonblamesHere we go again.  In an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, Bill Clinton blamed Republicans for Hillary’s use of a private homebrew email server.  In short, those eeevil Republicans FORCED her to set up the server and FORCED her to handle her email in a way that put America’s national security at risk.

Here’s a snippet of a discussion in which John King pointed out that it was Hillary who caused her own email scandals, not the Republicans.

The Hill added:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“It’s obvious what happened—at the beginning of the year she was the most admired person in public life and she earned it. Why? Because she was being covered by people who reported on what she was doing: the new START [arms] treaty, the Iran sanctions,” he said.

“The nature of the coverage shifted from issue based to political.”

Clinton added that politics is a “contact sport” so he can’t complain. But when asked whether he thought that there was a Republican plot against his wife, he said the efforts against his wife were clearly apparent.

“A plot makes it sound like it is secret,” he said.

“I think there are lots of people who wanted there to be a race for different reasons and they thought the only way to make it a race is a full-scale, frontal assault on her. This email thing became the biggest story in the world.”

People on Twitter weren’t buying the whole “vast-right-wing-conspiracy” garbage:

Of course, it’s always someone else’s fault.  Now they want Americans to believe Hillary didn’t do anything wrong at all — it’s Republicans who made her do it.

The sad thing is that there’s a whole bloc of voters — mostly the low-information crowd — who’ll fall for this nonsense.

For those of you who may not have been around back in the day, here’s video of Clinton telling the world he never had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky:

Exit question: Does America REALLY want four more years of non-stop White House scandal?
