Tolerance: Lena Dunham promotes ‘extermination’ of straight white men on Twitter

Lena DunhamOn Wednesday, Lena Dunham posted what she called a “beautiful animation” that advocates getting rid of straight white men on Twitter.  Naturally, the animation didn’t sit too well with many, who took her to task for the video.

“How are you feeling about the extinction of white men?” the video begins.

“Well, white men are a problem, but straight white men are a big problem,” says a narrator identified as Dunham’s father, Carroll.  “High time for straight white males to step back and let some other people do it.”

Here’s her tweet, if you can stomach it:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Looks that way to us, too.

OK, if you insist… It’s sexist and misandric.

That’s right — she promised to flee to Canada if Trump wins.

In April, The Hill reported:

“I know a lot of people have been threatening to do this, but I really will,” Dunham told Andy Cohen at the Matrix Awards on Monday.

“I know a lovely place in Vancouver, and I can get my work done from there.”

The star and creator of HBO’s “Girls” has been a prominent supporter of Hillary Clinton. She has campaigned with the Democratic front-runner throughout the 2016 race.

Of course she won’t leave because she loves the money too much…

One person responded to a Dunham supporter:

Chris Menahan noted:

Lena Dunham was out campaigning for Hillary Clinton last week in North Carolina.

She told an audience while being filmed by ABC News: “White patriarchy is like a beast in a movie that’s been stabbed and is just dying so slow and screaming as it goes down, and I just am afraid of what that’s going to look like.”

Does Hillary Clinton agree with her surrogate that all white men should be killed so other people can take their place?

Another very good question.  We won’t hold our breath waiting for an answer.
