Terror Spree in Jerusalem
Breaking Israel News reported Friday morning that a Palestinian man rammed his private vehicle into a group of pedestrians near Jerusalem’s East Border Police station on Shimon HaTzadik Street. He proceeded to begin a stabbing spree before being shot by a security guard.
Five people were injured, including 4 female border security officers.
Police are treating the incident as a terror attack. The driver veered onto the sidewalk, deliberately smashing into the group of pedestrians, then exited his car and proceeded to attempt to stab passersby. He was shot and seriously wounded by a security guard. His condition is unknown.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The victims were transported to a local hospital. Two of the injured policewomen were listed in “moderate” condition, the others had minor injuries.
The incident occurred as Jerusalem streets were filled with children in costumes for commemoration of the festival of Purim.
Calls for singular terror attacks using vehicles, knives, and any other methods available, have been encouraged by Hamas, ISIS, and other terrorists. This incident comes just one day after Mahmoud Abbas stated that he will no longer participate in security cooperation with Israel.
