Tech founder to ‘violent, stupid, racist’ deplorables seeking work in Middle America: Embrace liberalism

On Saturday, Melinda Byerley, founder of Timeshare CMO, a Silicon Valley-based tech start-up, issued a tweet on Saturday telling middle America what they need to do in order to “get more jobs in their area.”  At the same time, she denounced middle America as violent, stupid and racist:

A post at Liberty Unyielding, citing the Daily Caller, observed:

Byerley says that the first thing those in middle America need to realize is that “no educated person wants to live in a sh*thole with stupid people.” Particularly, in a “sh*thole” filled with people who are “violent, racist, and/or misogynistic.” In Byerley’s opinion, “big corporations,” do not consider moving to the heart of America because “those towns have nothing going for them.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The towns have “no infrastructure, just a few bars and a terrible school system.” Too few bars is an interesting criticism in a list that also includes terrible schools  and “no infrastructure” (whatever that means).

Byerley claims that “we,” the educated people, like herself, “would like to live a more rural lifestyle,” but “won’t sacrifice tolerance or diversity to do so.” People like her do not want to live in “states where the majority of residents are voting for things against their own interests,” solely, because these voters “don’t want brown people to thrive.”

She declares that if middle American towns can begin fixing their schools, and, essentially, “clean up their act,” then people like Byerley will “want to live there.” She even says that the fixing these problems would bring the “best and brightest” of our youth who “would rather scrape by in SF than live in a huge house somewhere if it meant dealing with with bigots and backwards ideologies every day,” to middle America.

Naturally, her arrogant, condescending message didn’t sit too well with many:

Chris Loesch added:

After issuing this incredibly mean-spirited and lengthy putdown to more half of America, Byerley tweeted out a very, very short mea culpa, the initial report said.

We agree that Byerley is “sorry,” but after bending over backwards to defend her initial position, we doubt that she’s really being apologetic.  She made her feelings known quite well.

In February 2011, I first opined that liberalism, at its core, is an ideology of rage and hate.  Sadly, liberals like Byerley prove that assertion correct on just about any given day.
