While President Obama has stated once again that he will not negotiate with House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday, David Stockman, former director of the Office of Management and Budget in the Reagan Administration, former member of Congress, and author of “The Great Deformation” saidObamacare is the worst law passed in four decades and must be halted.
When Obamacare was passed, it began the largest takeover by the government of any service of its kind and at the time, healthcare costs was a factor and yet, four years later, Obamacare still does not solve rising healthcare costs.
When Yahoo news asked Stockman on Friday as to why Obamacare should be repealed, Stockman replied, “It is the worst law ever passed in the last four decades by the federal government,” Stockman argues. “It is a massive entitlement to end all entitlements. It is going to cause a fiscal hemorrhage, which is not even yet anticipated. It will tie up one-sixth of GDP in the most monstrous, massive, bureaucratic snarl that you can’t imagine. So therefore this needs to be stopped before it becomes operational.”
The Obama administration and the Democrats have been working to force the Republicans to cave into their demands and as a result, Obama’s Justice Department, led by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, decided to make it hurt even more that if a child goes missing, don’t count on the Amber Alert system to notify the public.
The Washington Examiner reported on Sunday that the Amber alert system, the national missing-child warning program, has been offline because of the government shutdown.
On Friday, U.S. Senator Jeff Session (R-AL) spoke on the Senate floor about Obamacare stating that Obamacare was built on an accounting fraud and that not only has Democratic Senators been demeaning the Tea Party movement with attempts to shut them out, but that the House has to the right to fund what they want to fund.
“House Republicans are working to spare American workers from this train wreck,” said Sessions. “But Leader Reid and President Obama are building a fortress around the law, even as more and more train wrecks are discovered in the 2,700-page bill no one had time to read.” Continue reading →
The very existence of the Muslim Brotherhood, threatens Egypt, not only at the present time but on into the future. It appears that the Egyptian government has reached the same conclusion. This is the first required step to that end. Although this vote is not binding, it makes it possible for the top court to hear arguments and banish the Muslim Brotherhood.
In Egypt, a judicial official has announced that a panel of judges have recommended the dissolution of the Muslim Brotherhood. The decision is nonbinding, but brings the Muslim Brotherhood one step closer to being eliminated. Their legitimacy was questioned even before the ousting of Mohamed Morsi as president. The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928 and spent most of that time being banned in Egypt. They were able to survive by creating and operating widespread social networks.
