Secret Service visits, grills Kathy Griffin for over an hour
On Tuesday, the Independent Journal Review reported that agents with the U.S. Secret Service paid a visit to alleged comedian Kathy Griffin and grilled her for over an hour over an ISIS-like photo in which she is seen holding a facsimile of Donald Trump’s bloody severed head.
Moreover, the report said, the investigation into her bloody head debacle remains open.
News: Kathy Griffin has been interviewed by the Secret Service, in-person, for over an hour….investigation still not closed.

IJR added:
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Griffin’s attorney, Dmitry Gorin, has claimed the comedian was merely exercising her “First Amendment rights to tell a joke.”
“When you look at everything in the media, all the times entertainers make videos or express themselves in other ways, you’ve never seen an entertainer, let alone a comedian, be subject to a criminal investigation,” the attorney added.
Even though the investigation is ongoing, it’s unlikely that Griffin will actually be arrested over the crude photo.
We’re still waiting for the punch line of Griffin’s alleged “joke.” Nevertheless, it’s important to observe that we’re not aware of another comedian engaging in the the same kind of activity.
A post at LawNewz said that Obama ethics Czar Norm Eisen wondered if authorities would question Trump over the WWE wrestling video created by a Reddit user who was essentially blackmailed by CNN:
If authorities r taking @kathygriffin parody video so seriously, shouldnt they also question trump re his video beating @cnn per 18 usc 875? https://t.co/w3q3nFtR1G

One person responded:
No they shouldn't. Thanks for playing.

Another person added:
No. The Secret Service's job is to protect @POTUS not @cnn. Secondly, the Secret Service like the rest of the world can't stand CNN!!

And another educated Eisen, informing him:

“There is an exception for free speech that incites violence, but a judge would probably consider Griffin’s photo ‘crude political hyperbole,'” LawNewz said.
The New York Times further reported:
Ms. Griffin swung from defiant to emotional as she spoke to reporters, and even cracked jokes in an attempt to portray herself as a victim of a sexist backlash spurred by Mr. Trump.
“I don’t think I will have a career after this,” Ms. Griffin said tearfully. “I’m going to be honest. He broke me.”
But she said that she would continue to mock Mr. Trump, even amid alleged death threats and the loss of work that have resulted as a backlash to the photo.
“I’m not afraid of Donald Trump,” Ms. Griffin said. “He’s a bully. I’ve dealt with older white guys trying to keep me down my whole life, my whole career.”
Griffin, who has made her hatred of Trump no secret, has been fired by CNN, and blamed Trump for her actions. Griffin’s attorney also blamed the president for all the ills in the world.
