Russia Blows Up Illegal Prayer Hall

Russia Blows Up Illegal Prayer Hall

RT reported that Police near the Russian city of Samara found a cache of explosives in a Muslim prayer hall. Deciding it  was too dangerous to remove them, they chose to blow them up on site.

A police dog helped authorities find the cache of explosives and ammo.

The explosives weren’t the only thing they found on site.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The FSB- Federal Security Service- blocked off federal highway M5 in both directions, and “rolled” in a water cannon to trigger the explosives. Reports say that there was more than 1 kilogram of it and they are unsure of its origin.

All nearby buildings were evacuated before the “prayer hall” went kaboom.

RT reported,

The house was used for gatherings of Salafis, followers of an ultra-conservative movement within Sunni Islam, and it was not registered with the regional Muslim community as an official house of worship.

Inside the house, the FSB’s special forces detained 53 young men, at least one of whom was promoting the Islamic State terror group online.

The arrests prompted a series of raids on other houses, where police uncovered more ammunition, grenades, explosives, and guns.

An RT source stated that many of the Salafists were fighting in Syria for the Islamic State.

The Salafist Movement  – The Old Ways

Salafis are at the root of ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and other Sunni Muslim groups. Their view is rigid and unyielding, believing that their ways are the only ways. It’s the reason they kill Shia Muslims, whom they view as heretics, Christians, Jews, Yazidis, and anyone else in their way.

In 2014, the Gatestone Institute wrote about the rise of Sunni Salafism in Germany,

Salafists—who trace their roots to Saudi Arabia and glorify an idealized version of what they believe was the original Islam practiced in the 7th and 8th centuries—openly state that they want to replace democracy in Germany (and the rest of the world) with an Islamic government based on sharia law.

Salafist ideology posits that sharia law is superior to all secular laws because it comes from Allah, the only legitimate lawgiver, and thus is legally binding for all of humanity. According to the Salafist worldview, democracy is an effort to elevate the will of human beings above the will of Allah. As such, participation in the democratic process is polytheism (shirk in Arabic) and must be rejected.

The report defines Salafism as a “political ideology whose followers view Islam not only as a religion but also a legal framework that regulates all areas of life: from the state’s role in organizing relations between people, to the private life of the individual.”
