Liberals are scared and they don’t know what to do. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was heard to say:
“Help!!! I’ve fallen and I can’t get up and I don’t have one of those thingys.”
Why are they so afraid? Because Republican Matt Bevin won the governorship of Kentucky. Oh sure, they will proclaim it doesn’t mean a thing, but it does. We saw this happen in 2009. There were four elections that year with any significance. Obama campaigned for 3 of the 4 candidates. Only the candidate Obama didn’t campaign for won. Bill Bevins spent precious little time trashing his opponent. During the campaign, he targeted Obama, just like Republicans did in 2009. Anybody remember what happened in 2010? Big gains in the Senate and a takeover in the House.
The 2016 race could come down to a referendum on Obama. That would be bad news for the dumbocrats. Many of them are running on the policies of Barack Obama at the same time the entire country has noticed the emperor has no clothes. Hillary is promising to out Obama Obama. Many more immigrants and many less guns. Hillary will be the nominee come hell or high water and Schultz has made it her mission to make sure no other Democrat has a chance to challenge her.
The Democrats have always depended on women and minorities to provide the margin of difference. This election they have some real trouble there. Although they will maintain their large margins among illegal and dead voters, Hillary leads Trump by only 5 points among women and Trump also carries more Hispanic voters than Bush or Rubio. Ben Carson shows strength among women also. Women see their roles in the workplace diminished by Obama’s policies, while legal Hispanics and young blacks find it hard to find work with so many illegal aliens willing to work for peanuts.
I’m not saying that any of these groups will run out and vote for Republicans but like in 2010 and 2014, many of them may opt to stay home. And staying home could be enough to secure defeat for the liberals.
