Poor countries are petitioning through the UN for reparations caused by wealthier nations who are causing climate change. They want the proposal to be binding.
What you may not know is the UN, including the United States, which will pay the largest share have already agreed to spend 100 billion a year for climate change mitigation. The new proposals go far beyond that. They demand that developed nations foot the bill every time a natural disaster is allegedly caused by global warming.
These reparations would include, but not be limited to floods, droughts, hurricanes, typhoons, snow, lack of snow, monsoons, tsunamis and the heartbreak of psoriasis. Forget that all of these disasters occurred even before there were humans or the fact that there are less of them than there were 50 years ago.
How many of you remember the dire warnings about more and fiercer hurricanes after Katrina? Every year the “climate scientists” predicted untold super hurricanes. Every year they were disappointed.
