Person who threatened LA schools claims to be ‘extremist Muslim jihadist’ with ‘nerve agent’

school-busOn Tuesday, news broke that the Los Angeles Unified School district completely shut down its schools after a threat was emailed, reportedly from somewhere in Germany.

According to the LA Times, the message was traced to an IP address in Germany:

California Rep. Brad Sherman told CNN that he’s read the threatening email and that some of what’s in it lacked credibility in his opinion. But he also said the person who sent the email claimed to be an “extremist Muslim jihadist” with “32 accomplices” and “nerve agent…”

Sherman, however, said some of the details lack credibility.

More details are on the way, but this was put out earlier Tuesday:

It could be a prank, but in the light of recent attacks in Paris and San Bernardino and in light of recent arrests, it’s probably best the school district errs on the side of caution…
