Obama refers to himself 45 times while defending Black Lives Matter at memorial for Dallas officers

Obama in Dallas referred to himself 45 times while defending Black Lives MatterOn Tuesday, Barack Hussein Obama, the narcissist-in-chief who spoke at a memorial for five slain Dallas officers, referred to himself no less than 45 times during a speech defending Black Lives Matter, even though supporters of said group celebrated the murder of those officers.

The Daily Caller reported:

Obama referred to himself twice before finishing his opening salutations and before mentioning the slain officers or their families. After noting the presence of President Bush, members of Congress and Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings, Obama appeared to go off-script.

“Chief Brown, I’m so glad I met Michelle first because she loves Stevie Wonder,” Obama said, jokingly referencing Dallas Police Chief David Brown’s earlier speech in which Brown quoted lyrics from the song “As” in tribute to the deceased. The president looked around the room, pointed at Brown and cracked a grin while the audience laughed at and applauded his joke. “Most of all, the families…” Obama said, proceeding with his speech.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Obama would refer to himself 43 more times throughout the speech — most of which he personally wrote, according to the LA Times — including one instance where he referred to himself in the third-person: “the president.”

Of course Obama angered pretty much everyone with his lecture on race and guns.  After all, he was there, in theory, to honor those murdered by a racist who said he wanted to kill white people.  But that’s not what happened.

According to the Washington Times, Obama defended the Black Lives Matter movement:

At the interfaith service, photographs of the slain officers were displayed on the stage. Five empty seats in the arena were adorned with folded U.S. flags and duty officer hats to signify their loss.

The president, who has been criticized by law enforcement officials for supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, doubled down on that theme in front of the slain officers’ colleagues and families, saying Americans “cannot simply turn away and dismiss those in peaceful protest as troublemakers or paranoid.”

“We can’t simply dismiss it as a symptom of political correctness or reverse racism,” he said. “We also know that centuries of racial discrimination, of slavery and subjugation and Jim Crow, they didn’t simply vanish with the end of lawful segregation.”

His speech drew immediate criticism on social media for taking an event that was ready-made for national unity and turning it into a lecture for his agenda items of criminal justice reform and gun control.

Truly, as Lisa Payne-Naeger said on Tuesday, Obama’s speech was worthy of rotten tomatoes
