In the 5 years that President Obama has been president, he has overseen the largest jump in welfare spending this country has ever seen, with a total of 3.7 trillion dollars having been spent. When you add in 840 billion for the “stimulus” and 410 billion for the 2009 Omnibus Spending package, nearly 5 trillion has been spent in stimulus and welfare spending or almost 71% of the 7 trillion dollar deficit, Obama has racked up.
On July 1st of 2010, Nancy Pelosi made the claim that paying unemployment benefits was creating jobs faster than anything else. We have now spent 520 billion over the past 5 years on unemployment benefits.
