Michael Savage wonders: Was Scalia murdered?

ScaliaisrealResponding to news that Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead Saturday, radio talk show host Michael Savage wondered if he had been murdered and called for an investigation, WND reported Monday.

“Was [Scalia] murdered?” he asked.

“We need a Warren Commission-like federal investigation,” he added. “This is serious business.”

He wrote:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Okay everybody, Scalia’s death. Let’s start it from another point of view. Let’s say, God forbid, it’s the most extremist justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who never should have been appointed, she was a former head of the ACLU, yet she was ushered in by the Republican RINO’s who have destroyed America. Let’s say, even though she’s been sick with cancer for over 10 years, suddenly she goes to a remote resort in Texas, she eschews Secret Service, and she goes to sleep saying I’m tired at 9:00, she’s found fully clothed in the morning with her pajamas on without a wrinkle on the bed, with her hands folded over her chest, with a pillow over her head.

Question: do you think the left would be screaming foul play if a Republican were in office like Donald Trump and only a few months left to go? Do you think the left would be screaming that Donald Trump would have no right to appoint anyone to the Supreme Court? Do you think they would be demanding an autopsy and a full federal investigation?

Of course, we all know the answer to that.

Savage discussed the issue with Donald Trump, whom he supports for the GOP nomination:

“We had a razor-thin savior of the conservative, or, shall I say traditional, ways in America, Antonin Scalia, who was found dead under suspicious circumstances,” he told Trump. “And now this character in the White House who nobody with a rational mind should trust is trying to railroad Loretta Lynch down our throats … as his number one choice. Can you believe this?”

Savage was referring to a report by Tom Goldstein, who runs the influential SCOTUSblog.  Earlier, Goldstein said Lynch would probably be Obama’s pick, calling her a “very serious possibility.”

“The fact that Lynch was vetted so recently for attorney general also makes it practical for the president to nominate her in relatively short order,” he said.

Republicans have said they would block any nominee until after the election, but Democrats are demanding they confirm whomever Obama appoints without delay.

Savage isn’t the only one who thinks something is amiss with Scalia’s untimely death as we reported earlier.  It’s possible there’s no “there” there, but given what we know, it would appear that, as Savage said, “something stinks.
