In an interview published Monday at Elle, Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., admitted that she’s not interested in governing — she only wants to get Donald Trump, and her goal is simple: Impeach him.

Waters made her goal known while at Elle‘s 2017 Women in Washington event, where she discussed her engagement with millennials and her primary goal of Trump’s impeachment.

The Washington Free Beacon added:

Waters said she has used the word impeachment “to the dislike” of her Democratic colleagues, as they believe the declaration is premature. But Waters claimed impeachment is her goal.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“But that’s my goal. My goal is impeachment,” Waters said.

Waters said she was so outspoken about her dislike for Trump because she “could not live with the way he treated other people.”

“I’m out to get him,” she said. “And when he talked about grabbing women? Okay? I’m out to get him. I’m gonna see him out of office. And I think it’s going to happen. Get ready for impeachment.”

She also pushed her Trump-Russia conspiracy theory, telling Elle:

This country will not stand by a president who is proven to be in support of undermining our democracy. Whatever Trump’s reasons are, this love of Putin is not gonna eventually play well. People may be a little bit slow in getting it, but his connection to Putin and the Kremlin and all of those allies of his that have connections with Ukraine and with Russia are going to be revealed, and that’s gonna be his downfall and my goal is impeachment.

Oddly enough, she also told Elle that she loves the Constitution and “thought it was awesome” while a child in school.  Apparently, she doesn’t love it enough to actually follow it…
