On Monday, Pamela Geller, president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, reported that George Soros’ “evil empire” played a significant role in funding efforts to “track” the activities of those opposed to militant Islamic jihad, including the Tea Party and other conservatives opposed to the concept of a global Islamic caliphate.

We did a search of the DC Leaks site and found the document Geller referred to.

The document, which can be downloaded here, says this on page 52:

As noted above, U.S. Programs has not invested substantial resources into researching the individuals, organizations and ideologies responsible for rising xenophobia and intolerance. We are in the process of determining how we can strengthen our investment in this area. Two important grants are described below.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Center for American Progress

The Center for American Progress (CAP) has formed a multi-disciplinary team to expose the structures underlying the Islamophobia movement. It also plans to engage the progressive community in developing strategies for combating anti-Muslim bigotry CAP’s first step will be to interview and engage journalists, researchers, academics, and leaders in the anti-hate movement who are researching and writing on Islamophobia, and to develop a roster of knowledgeable and credible experts to whom journalists and policymakers can turn for information. It will research and track the activities of the most prominent drivers of Islamophobia, including Stop Islamization of America, led by Pamela Geller; the Center for Security Policy, led by Frank Gaffney; David Horowitz’s Freedom Center, which sponsors Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch; the Middle East Forum, led by Daniel Pipes; the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, led by Cliff May; and Keep America Safe, led by Liz Cheney. In addition, CAP will examine the role played by right-wing media, the Tea Party movement, prominent politicians, pundits, and conservative donors in spreading anti-Muslim sentiment. CAP will produce a major report and recommendations for follow up opposition research work that are scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2011 and will produce a series of articles through September 2011.

Geller added:

For years, there has been a systematic, well coordinated campaign to destroy the work, the names, the reputations of my colleagues and  me.  In every news article and other press coverage concerning my work, it was as if every reporter was cutting and pasting the same libelous and defamatory  smear against me. I always wondered how the enemy’s reach was so overarching and far reaching. In a word – money. Lots of it, most particularly from the black hand himself, George Soros.

I have long documented the malevolent activities of Soros’s evil empire all the way back to his Nazi youth when he was confiscating the property of the Jews. Soros has said that helping the Nazis was “the happiest time of my life.”

The Daily Caller reported that Soros’ group funded CAP’s project to the tune of $200,000.  It also gave the group two more grants totaling $500,000.

There’s more — a whole lot more — here, and it’s well worth checking out.  Keep in mind that if Hillary Clinton wins in November, Soros will be pulling the strings in the White House…
