An aide to Senator McCain told GQ’s Jason Zengerle that John McCain f@#$%^g hates Ted Cruz. He claims McCain hates his style. Since Ted Cruz was elected, he has ruffled the feathers of many a liberal and McCain is no exception, although it is odd to be so forthcoming about it.
Of course the feeling is mutual, however Cruz is slightly more diplomatic about it. “I don’t know a conservative who didn’t feel embarrassed voting in 2006 or 2008. I think the Republican Party lost its way. We didn’t stand for the principles we’re supposed to believe in.”
McCain ran for the presidency in 2008, but was trounced because he could not provide a contrast to Barack Obama. Indeed, since Obama’s election and reelection, Mccain has been a main water carrier for the president.
Earlier this year McCain called Cruz and Rand Paul wackobirds. Cruz and Paul were upset about the drone attacks authorized by President Obama and his contention that he could kill anyone he liked including American citizens. McCain thought that was plain crazy.
Most recently, McCain has been critical of Cruz for wanting to end Obamacare. The Real Clear polling on Obamacare, finds that voters do not like the healthcare bill 52.2%-38.7%.
