Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez, the 24-year-old Kuwaiti-born Muslim who committed jihad by opening fire at the Chattanooga, Tennessee, military facilities in which four U.S. Marines were killed, wounded other service members and injuring a police officer, before dying in a shoot-out, High School photo and blog were uncovered on Friday.
The Washington Post, who found the blog through the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors radical Islam, discovered Abdulazeez’s blog on Friday. Abdulazeez began writing about Islam and jihad three days before he went on a mission to kill military personnel, which was praised by the radical Islamic murderers IS, also known as ISIS and ISIL through Islamic twitter accounts.
The tweets praised the murders of the Marines and threatened more attacks are coming including attacks in Berlin, Germany and Amsterdam.
Abdulazeez’s writings included, “We often talk about the Sahaba (RA) and their Ibada. We talk about their worshiping at night, making thikr, reading quran, fasting, sala. But did you ever notice that in one certain period towards the end of the lives of the Sahaba (RA), almost every one of the Sahaba (RA) was a political leader or an army general? Every one of them fought Jihad for the sake of Allah. Every one of them had to make sacrifices in their lives and some even left all their wealth to make hijrah to Medina.”
