Iranian American Arrested for Trying to Buy Missiles for Iran

igla_misile_7 Reza Olangian, a dual citizen of Iran and the United States was arrested after a long investigation into his attempts to buy 200 surface to air missiles.  Olangian was charged with two counts of conspiracy to acquire and transfer the missiles and two counts of violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. (IEEPA)  The 1977 law gives the president the power to restrict trade to countries who are deemed to be a threat to the United States.  If convicted Olangian could face life in prison.
