Hillary: Orwell’s “1984” Teaches Us To Trust Government and the Media

Hillary Clinton had a rather bizarre interpretation of George Orwell’s classic novel 1984.  In her book entitled What Happened, Hillary Clinton gave a seemingly disconnected version of the book:

“Attempting to define reality is a core feature of authoritarianism. This is what the Soviets did when they erased political dissidents from historical photos.  This is what happens in George Orwell’s classic novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, when a torturer holds up four fingers and delivers electric shocks until his prisoner sees five fingers as ordered.”

“The goal is to make you question logic and reason and to sow mistrust toward exactly the people we need to rely on: our leaders, the press, experts who seek to guide public policy based on evidence, ourselves.  For Trump, as with so much he does, it’s about simple dominance.”

Does she not realize that the torturer is from the government and not an enemy of the government?  Orwell’s book warned of the dangers of a government that gets too big and tries to micromanage everyday life for the non-elites.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

According to Breitbart:

In her book, Clinton blamed numerous groups and individuals for her presidential campaign loss, including Russia, the media, former FBI Director James Comey, WikiLeaks, Bernie Sanders, the Democratic Party, and Facebook.

Clinton also slammed women who refused to vote for her, claiming she cannot give them “absolution,” and at one point declared, “I thought I’d be a damn good President.”

That makes one of us.

The Daily Caller reported:

The origin of Clinton’s counterintuitive interpretation of the work is unclear. Somehow, after reading a terrifying account of government overreach creeping into every aspect of human life and choice, Clinton drew the lesson that individuals should be able to trust the government, and society’s various information gatekeepers.

A number of Clintons’ fellow Democrats have condemned the contents of the campaign memoir as unnecessarily divisive and derided her for the timing of its release. One former Clinton staffer told Politico that Clinton’s book release and the resulting news cycle was her “final torture” for the party.

Hillary, like all liberal elites, believe that government can never get too big and in order to control the country they must control the message and destroy the middle class in order to break down all resistance that the people have for the enlightened elite class and their ability to run your life properly, since you are not capable yourself.

She seems to take the attitude in her book that anyone who voted against her are either racists, white supremacists, misogynists or just plain deplorable and ignorant.  But remember the first time she ran in 2008, it was the liberals who denied her the White House, although I am sure in her next book, she will explain how that happened too and whose fault the blame for her loss belongs to.
